Sorry I have been unable to write on here more... this past week has simply been intense.
Everyday we begin the day with about four hours worth of speakers... (For example today we had Gov. Bill Ritter). After that we have small group meetings, and then we have to head into Downtown Denver, and then we come home around 10:30 and have to complete an academic journal. Ultimately, all of this makes for a really exhausting day... everyone out here is really rundown and this week is sure to be even worse.
Also this week I learned that I will be working security at the Colorado Convention Center, unfortunately I can't talk too much more about it right now. I do start tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be able to head straight from the convention center over to the Pepsi Center where the convention will be held each night. I will be going in doing interviews, taking pictures, and finally getting some video. I am really excited about what this week will bring....
I wanted to make a quick comment on the latest development... Obama's choice of Joe Biden as VP. Personally, I am very excited about an Obama-Biden ticket. I believe this will allow Barack to attract older voters and maybe help to bring in some of HRC's supporters who up until now are still bitter. I'm extremely curious about the speech tomorrow and will be sure to comment more about it...
For now I'm out.

The Day
So here I am sitting here in my dorm room at Elon waiting for my ride to RDU so I can head off to Denver.
I still have no clue what to expect... and I am becoming a little nervous about that fact. Is that weird?? I think so.
I am tremendously excited about my experience... but will I get credentials? or at least tickets to see Barack on Thursday? What will my fieldwork assignment be? Will I get any sleep?
At some point over the next couple of weeks these questions will be answered.... and who knows what else.
I'm off to Denver!!

About a Week until Denver
So here I am sitting at my home in Houston, TX realizing in a little over a week I will be thrust right into the middle of the craziness that will be Denver the week before the Convention starts.
I have no idea what Denver will be like, if I will get into the Pepsi Center, if I will be able to see Barack receive the nomination, or even who I will be rooming with for those two weeks. All I know is that these two weeks will bring lots of work, and probably very little sleep. To be honest I really have no idea what to expect.
What can you expect to see on this blog in the coming weeks?? Well of course tons of writing from me, any especially good pictures, and any video that I may be able to gather.
Well folks that's all for now... expect another post sometime next week before I leave for Denver.
